In addition to building a robot and a successful team, The Pilots have also been involved with the local San Diego community. Members of our team have reached out to Nativty Preparatory Academy and Saint Didacus Parish School to help introduce younger students to CAD and foster an interest in STEM. Using the website TinkerCAD, an introductory level design program, elementary students learned how to create basic models, such as keychains, with the guidance of our outreach team. They spent 10 hours working with the students and creating unique lesson plans designed to make CAD fun and inspiring.
